We could not be happier with Silver Nickel Puppies. From the moment we walked in to purchase our Cavachon, we knew we came to the right place. The location was immaculate, the staff pleasant and knowledgeable. But most of all, the puppies were all adorable, healthy and happy. They are amazing and all their puppies are incredible.

We got this little cutie a couple months ago after we lost our two beloved dogs. He’s melted our hearts with his joy and immense love that continue helping us through our grief. Thank you to the wonderful Uncle Sal for being so sweet and informative. We could tell that he had such a huge love for all the dogs around him and here to report that we love our little guy ( Danny) more and more everyday! 🥹

We are absolutely elated with our experience at Silver Nickles Puppies! Bella is our very first fur baby, and w4e couldn’t have asked for a better addition to our family. She brings so much joy, happiness, love, puppy kisses, and snuggles into our home every single day! From the very beginning, our experience was exceptional. I spoke with Sal several times through Instagram and over the phone, and he was always kind, patient, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. We traveled quite a distance to get Bella, and I can honestly say it was well worth the trip! Upon entering Silver Nickles, we received such a warm welcome. The entire staff was professional, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. They took the time to understand our family and helped us choose the type of puppy that would be the vest fit for us. That level of care and attention truly made the entire process one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. We are truly grateful to the entire staff at Silver Nickles for helping us find our sweet Bella. I highly recommend Silver Nickles Puppies to anyone looking to adopt a beautiful, healthy, and loving puppy. Thank you to Sal, Ellie and the entire staff at Silver Nickles!!!

We truly could not have had a better experience with Silver Nickel Puppies! From the very beginning, Ellie and Sal were absolutely wonderful. As a first-time puppy owner, I had so many questions, and they gave me an incredible amount of guidance and made me feel completely comfortable and prepared bringing Agador (male, Cockapoo) home.
What has impressed us even more is the care they’ve shown after we left the store. Sal has already called twice just to check in and see how Agador is doing, which really speaks to how much they care about their puppies and the families they go home with. Agador has been home with us for a week now and is absolutely thriving! He is the sweetest, smartest little boy and has already learned how to sit, give his paw, and go to his bed. We are completely in love with him and couldn’t be happier. We’ve had a few visitors and have even socialized him a bit (safely) and he has been nothing but an angel to everyone and everywhere.
We are so grateful to Ellie and Sal at Silver Nickel Puppies for making such an important experience so wonderful for us. I would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking to bring a puppy into their family! This puppy is truly the love of our lives. Thank you! ♥️

I got my mini dachshund, Wally, on March 1st. Nearly 4 months later and I can report that he is totally healthy, happy and super smart! It was the best decision I have ever made.
Thank you to Sal! Not only does he love every puppy that comes through his doors, but he is very excited for YOU to become a dog parent! He made the whole process simple and I felt confident the day I took Wally home. It’s super clean inside and all the pups were well taken care of.
That first night in March I was certain I wouldn’t get any sleep but Wally slept through the night in his crate! And every night after (Although now he sleeps with me)! Luckily, he has also been very healthy. He was a bit under 3 pounds when I first got him but now he’s about 10 pounds! I mostly have him on the dog food they sent us home with.
I could go on furever on how much I love my dog. But if you’re thinking about it, please check out Silver Nickle Puppies. You will not regret it! Thank you again to everyone who works there!

We had the unique pleasure of choosing to purchase our puppy from Silver Nickel Puppies! From the moment you walk in, it is evident that the entire staff truly cares about the wellbeing of the pups! I love that they have a “do not touch or take pictures” rule. It ensures you’re coming home with a happy and healthy pup! I wanted to give a quick shoutout to Sal who so kindly spent 30 minutes explaining how to care for our puppy (as I have not had a puppy in twenty years) and guided us towards choosing the right breed for our lifestyle. We ended up choosing the most gorgeous Cockapoo who by the way is extremely intelligent, acclimated rapidly to his new environment, arrived with crate training, and even some weeweepad skills! He sleeps through the night and does not whine ad infinitum if placed in his playpen/crate (we are working on the potty training). Also, he already plays fetch?! 😂 This had been the smoothest transition by far and we truly owe it to the team at Silver Nickels. After purchasing a puppy, the team makes sure to reach out to you ensuring everything is going smoothly and offers any tips that may help with your specific puppy. Sal is EXTREMELY knowledgeable on all puppy care across many different breeds. The store even ensures first round of vaccinations and a free vet visit to ensure your pup’s health and next steps in their vet care. We love our Rambunctious Rex so much and can’t wait to continue recommending this shop to anyone in search for a furever companion! This is not a place looking to make a quick buck—they truly care about the wellbeing and quality of your newest family member! 🐶🥹🤍

This is our second dog from Silver Nickel! We’ve had our little Rosie for two weeks now and couldn’t be more in love! Sal was super kind during the process, he made sure we had everything we needed. We even got her family tree and a picture of her parents. Sal showed such love and compassion towards our Rosie. He even called a week later to make sure she was doing fine and answered all the questions I had. If you’re ever thinking about getting a puppy, Silver Nickels is def. the place to get one. Here are some pictures of Rosie and her big sister Daisy

I couldn’t be happier with the service at Silver Nickel. I purchased my little Yorkie girl Eloise in November I had went back twice and Sal was so patient with me. I had just lost my dog in September and I didn’t think I would get another dog, well when I saw her on instagram, I knew she was going to be my puppy.
When I brought her home Sal gave me food and a feeding list and all the instructions to make sure it was a good transition. He also checked in with me to make sure we were doing well which I really appreciated. I brought her to vet immediately and she was in great health. Eloise is now 7 months old and she is so smart, loving and funny. She brought so much joy into our lives. 🩷🩷🩷

Walking into Silver Nickel Puppies was such a delight, everything was spotless. Sal and Elli were amazing! They really knew their stuff and helped me so much, even texting me during those first few days when I had questions. The whole experience felt personal, and it’s obvious they genuinely care about their pups. Thanks to them, my little Mushroom is one happy girl. I couldn’t be happier with the whole process! ❤️

Luna is such an healthy, happy, good listener and well behave puppy.

This review is definitely long overdue, but I wanted to share my great experience getting my first ever dog, my miniature poodle Bruno from here two years ago. From the moment I first walked in, I could tell how professional everyone was and how much love and care they give to the puppies. It really showed me how the dogs were treated and how knowledgeable and helpful the staff were throughout the process.
Two years later, Bruno has never (knock on wood) had any health issues and continues to be a happy, healthy pup who brings so much joy to my life every day. I truly feel lucky to have found my first ever furry best friend through them.
Thank you for helping bring Bruno into my life! I couldn’t be happier!

Just picked up our adorable new puppy from here, and the whole experience was fantastic! The place is clean, welcoming, and clearly cares about the animals. The staff member Sal he was incredibly nice and patient took the time to answer all questions, showed us everything we needed to know about the pup, and made sure we felt confident taking her home. Communication was excellent quick responses and clear info every step of the way. Our little girl is happy, healthy, and already settling in perfectly. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a puppy you won’t be disappointed!

We had a great experience with Silver Nickel Puppies in Englewood, NJ. They were professional, caring, and clearly put a lot of love and effort into their puppies. Our Aussiedoodle is healthy, beautiful, and has an amazing temperament.
What really stood out was how they followed up with multiple phone calls to check in and see how our puppy was doing, it truly shows how much they care even after you take your puppy home. I highly recommend Silver Nickel Puppies to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive breeder. Thank you again for the whole Silver Nickel Team!

So glad to have found Silver Nickel Puppies! About a month ago I called and spoke to Ale about a cocker spaniel puppy I found on their website. He was very friendly and informative and I was able to come in that day to adopt her. You could tell that they really care about their dogs and make sure they come from safe breeders by including all their paperwork. They even gave her a bath and included a bag of the food she was eating plus some wet food. Our new puppy has been a great addition to the family and we couldn’t be happier!

We bought our mini dachshund Chai from here almost a year ago and couldn't recommend more! Chai is a happy, healthy, and well- tempered pup. He has a gorgeous coat and gets compliments all the time on his color!! The puppies at Silver Nickel are definitely well bred to breed standard. We had a great experience visiting the store and interacting with Sal, and the puppies go very quickly so if you are interested, recommend putting a deposit as soon as possible!
A few notes for transparency - Chai did come home with giardia but that is common in puppies who are around other dogs, and with a few rounds of medicine he was okay. Additionally, I didn't *love* the vet they recommended for the first visit required after bringing them home. She started him too early on one of his vaccines and we had to do the whole series over, and it didn't end up really being free anyways - so I would recommend going to your own vet of choice after bringing your dog home!
When Chai is ready for a sibling - we will definitely be back to Silver Nickel!!

I could not be happier or more grateful for my experience at Silver Nickel Puppies! I felt a sense of belonging and knew I was in the right place as soon as I walked through their door. From start to finish, I had what I would consider to be a magical experience.
I was greeted by Sal and instantly detected how much he cares about his puppies finding the right owner and vice versa. Sal is not a salesman, nor is this a business centered on profit; they are instead looking to make this world a better place by pairing the right puppy with the right prospective owner.
It has been 3 days at home with my treasured companion, Tilly. She has adjusted wonderfully and is the best companion I could have ever asked for. It is clear that the ease of her transition has a lot to do with how well she was cared for by the staff at Silver Nickel Puppies. After only 3 days, I cannot imagine being in my apartment without Tilly.
I operate a private psychiatry practice that is mostly telehealth, and even my patients have noticed a positive difference in me since bringing Tilly home! She tends to sit alongside me during my appointments because she is so very curious. She serves as an excellent reminder that curiosity is what keeps us alive. There are many things I love about my new dog, but what stands out most is how she inspires me to remain curious, be inquisitive, and find more passion in life.

What can I say about Silvernickel Puppies. If I can give them 10 stars I would. They are very protective of their puppies and give them five star care. The staff is watchful and caring with the pups. Sal was amazing! He is patient, helpful and was a pleasure to work with. He knows about the pups and answered all of my questions even though I probably asked too many. He provided me with so much information about my new puppy and how to care for her and assured me that if I had any questions or concerns to just reach out. He is professional and attentive to each person that walks in and I would not change anything about my experience. The store is clean and the puppies are well cared for. Thank you for completing my family. Our new addition Winnie loves her big brother. We are forever grateful!

So we ended up at Troys by accident after a spontaneous encounter with a happy customer while shopping at Target one day. After getting discouraged by the adoption circuit and stores that were not forthcoming with details, we called Silver Nickel. I believe we called on a Wednesday, confirmed they had the breed we had been eyeing and put down the deposit on Thursday. When we arrived, we weren’t 100% sure which breed we wanted and my 8-year old asked to play with 2 different dogs. Sal was strict and protective of handling multiple animals and at first, I was kind of confused by it. I felt their handling & access policy was unnecessarily limited. Only after we made the deposit and he placed the “sold” sticker on our pup’s window did I appreciate this approach. I understood that limiting access and handling ensures your puppy’s health and safety while in their care. The approach also made us feel like the pup would then develop a healthy attachment to us and not multiple handlers. Additionally, this was our first time getting a puppy from a store and the 5 days that he was crated at Silver Nickel made transitioning home to a crate very smooth. After one week at home, I’m please to report that our puppy is pretty much sleeping through the night and rocking house-training. We feel like his health and social adjustment is excellent. After hearing lots of different stories about puppy stores, I can honestly say it has been a positive experience for us. We are very happy with our Maltipoo.

As a lifelong dog lover, I can honestly say that Silver Nickel Puppies is the gold standard when it comes to finding the perfect furry addition to your family. We brought home not one, but two beautiful mini dachshunds, Addie and Chloe, from them, and I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else.
From the moment we first contacted Silver Nickel Puppies, we were blown away by their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine love for dogs. The staff is incredibly helpful and takes the time to make sure each puppy is matched with the right home. They were patient, informative, and answered every single question we had, big or small.
And let’s talk about the health and quality of their puppies. Addie and Chloe arrived in absolutely perfect health, clearly well cared for and properly socialized. They were happy, energetic, clean, and clearly had been loved long before we met them. Our vet was equally impressed with their condition and temperament. It’s easy to see that Silver Nickel truly prioritizes responsible breeding and the well-being of every pup they place.
Our dachshunds are not just pets, they’re family. They’ve brought endless joy, laughter, and love into our home, and we owe it all to the incredible team at Silver Nickel.
We’re already seriously considering adding a third pup to our pack, and there’s no question in our minds: we will ONLY go through Silver Nickel Puppies. They are the best in the business, hands down.
If you're thinking about adding a four-legged friend to your life, do yourself a favor and visit Silver Nickel Puppies. You won’t find a more caring, reputable, or professional place to find your new best friend. We are forever grateful!

My husband came across Silver Nickel Puppies on my birthday. We were in the area and he randomly looked up a pet shop and that's how we happened upon Silver Nickel Puppies and met Sal who was very knowledgeable and welcoming. You can tell he wants the best for these puppies and not just sell them to anyone. He took the time to answer all my questions and concerns regarding where the puppy comes from. My 16 year old morkie passed almost two years ago and I wasn't sure if i was ready for another dog, until I saw a little sleepy white maltese. I just wanted to look at him but ended up holding him and became obsessed with him. We felt very welcomed in the store and all the puppies were treated very well and it was really clean compared to other puppy shops we've been to. I told myself if he was there a week later, then I will really consider. We even called a couple times. We talked about him all week and really had to think about our decision. Our first visit was August 4 and we went back on August 9 and purchased a little white maltese whom we named Martin. Everything happens for a reason. Had we waited 15 more mins, we would have lost him to another couple. We didn't feel pressured at all by Sal, he was always honest with us but he did let us know that there was another couple who was interested in him and might come back, and they did! They are also strict with puppies here for the puppies own well being. Since I had held the maltese before, I wasn't allowed to hold him again unless I was really considering buying him and, the rest is history. I held him in my arms and we brought him home. It's almost been a month with our Marty and he has kept our lives exciting! He's definitely still the sleepy puppy who eye rolled us at the store, but very energetic and full of personality!

Purchasing my puppy here was one of the best Decisions! My mother purchased a puppy from them a few months back… She absolutely raved about them! My mom told me about how kind the peooke are there, how cleanly it is, and how healthy the dogs Look…etc. And of course, they seem to Have truly some of the most beautiful dogs for sale. My dog, unfortunately, recently passed away after 14 long years of having her… I knew my family and I were missing having doggy cuddles at home. But- I knew I was not going to settle for just any dog. I knew exactly the type of dog I wanted, and I had a vision in my head of what he or she would look like. Long story short, the exact dog that I was describing popped up as for sale on their Instagram page . My dream dog had arrived! Unfortunately, I was on vacation and I knew that this dog was going to get scooped up fast. I took a leap of faith and purchased the dog over the phone! I was originally communicating with Sal who was extremely helpful and kind. They held onto my baby for me until I got back from vacation. I also was able to interact with Elli Via email and text in which it was so obvious how good she was with people. I could tell she genuinely loves what she does, and really goes out of her way to make her customer happy. While I was on vacation, she sent me multiple pictures and videos of my puppy! I finally arrived to pick up my dog and everything went seamlessly. I’m already so in love with her. I am so thankful that I found her, and I’m so thankful that I found her at this specific location! I truly ever want to purchase a dog anywhere else if I ever decide to get my puppy a friend in the future :) Thank you again, Sal and Elli!

As I sit with my beautiful mini dachshund puppy, Olive, I realized I never wrote a review for SNP!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about SNP. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, welcoming, and well-cared-for everything was. Sal was truly exceptional—caring, knowledgeable, and clearly devoted to the well-being of every animal.
I adopted my beautiful mini dachshund here several months ago, and the entire process was smooth, supportive, and filled with genuine kindness. They took the time to answer all my questions, made sure I had everything I needed, and showed such love and compassion toward my pup.
I am so grateful for the wonderful experience and for helping me find my little beauty. I highly recommend this SNP to anyone looking to welcome a pet into their lives.
Here's a few pictures of my beauty, Olive, living her best life. I just love her.

I can’t thank Sal at Silver Nickel Puppies enough for helping me find my sweet baby girl. I’ve had Coco, a now 4 month old cockapoo, for 2 months and she’s been the absolute best.
My experience with Sal was exceptional. I came in on a whim because I’ve been following their IG and wanted to “just look” at some of the puppies I had seen online. I had been seriously considering getting a dog for a few years, but was worried about which breed is best for me as I’m someone who works long hours. Sal really helped get to know me and what I was looking for, while keeping the puppies well-being in mind. Based on what we talked about, there were a few breeds he suggested that would be best for me.
I asked if I could see the chocolate cockapoo who had just walked over toward me in her crate, so Sal brought her out so we could interact. That was it, I fell in love and we instantly connected!
Sal is truly so knowledgeable about dogs. I found him to be really patient, understanding, and informative. You can tell he wants to find forever homes for these sweet puppies and wants the person who’s taking them home to feel confident in their decision. He even followed up with me a few weeks later to check in on Coco and me. I had a few questions for him, now that I’ve had her for some time, and he took time out to give me some tips on caring for her as she grows.
Thank you so much Sal and Silver Nickel. I can’t wait to bring her by one day for a visit!

I had such a wonderful experience with Silver Nickel Puppies! They had an amazing selection of adorable, healthy, and playful puppies - It was hard to choose just one because they were all so cute! As first-time dog owners, we had a lot of questions, but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel prepared.
They took the time to thoroughly go over everything we needed to know before bringing our puppy home - Nothing was rushed or left out.
What stood out the most was the follow-up: One of the staff members called us about a week after we brought our puppy home just to check in and see how things were going. You can genuinely tell he loves what he does and cares about the puppies and their new families.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience or our new furry family member. Highly recommend!

It's taken me awhile to review SNP but wanted to share the wonderful service we received. We found SNP on social media and fell in love with the selection, easy website and glowing reviews. My mom lost her pup 2 years ago and we wanted to surprise her with a puppy this past Christmas (2024) and we took her in-store to see if she could find a match. A very cute, active and cuddly Mini Aussie Shepherd caught our eye and she has been a delight. She was very healthy after being checked out by the vet recommended and our normal vet. She stayed with me here in NJ for a few weeks while my mom set up her California home. We couldn't he happier and will keep SNP in mind in the future for other friends and family.

I cannot express enough how exceptional my experience was with Silver Nickel Puppies in Englewood, NJ! From the moment I made my first phone call, I felt a sense of warmth and professionalism that set the tone for the entire process. Sal, who assisted me, was simply incredible. He took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way.
Sal's genuine passion for these adorable puppies shone through in our conversations, and it was evident he truly cares about the well-being of both the puppies and their future families. What impressed me the most was his follow-up call the next day to check in on how my new furry friend was settling in. It was such a thoughtful touch that made me feel valued as a customer.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Elli, the owner, for providing such wonderful and healthy puppies. It’s clear that a lot of love and care goes into raising these little ones. We can't say enough good things about this pet store! The cleanliness of the facility is absolutely impressive—spotless and welcoming, which puts both pets and owners at ease.
The staff is not just friendly but also incredibly patient and supportive. It took us about a year to find our perfect fur baby, but they were with us every step of the way, offering expert advice and genuine care. Their dedication truly stands out!
Now, our fur baby Winston (mini dachshund) is almost 6 months old, around 14-15lbs, and he's growing into a healthy, handsome, smart boy. We're so grateful for all the help we received in finding him.
If you're looking for a new pet, this store should be your first stop. Their exceptional service and commitment to pet care make them a standout in the community.
Thank you for everything!????????

Ok, so I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review, and I could not be more thrilled in getting a puppy from here. I decided to get a friend for our 7 month old English Bulldog, and Silver Nickel Puppies had the PERFECT Mini Bulldog. I’ve had several Bulldogs throughout my life and upon arriving I knew she was going to be the perfect companion. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Elli actually goes and visits all the breeders herself to verify they are up to her standards, and even furnished me with the USDA inspection reports. Sal was very helpful as well and just so cheerful that you have to smile around him. Lastly, my puppy’s first check up with my personal vet could not have gone any better as she passed everything with flying colors and very healthy for a two month old. All I could say is that if I was grading this place they would have to get an A+, as I have been to many breeders and puppy stores. Bravo Silver Nickels Puppies ????

I was very impressed by Silver Nickel at Troy’s the minute I walked in the door. Extremely clean. Each enclosure- pristine clean. Not a smell to be smelled anywhere. The puppies are all clearly happy- healthy- not too young- and they are all adorable. The owner is a woman I can relate to - strict in her rules for sanitizing your hands and handling the pups. This is all in the best interest of the dogs so of course I gladly followed them. I went there for a specific dog I saw on the website. They allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted with her while they answered all my questions. I never felt rushed. I did purchase my little lady and have been in contact with the owner with some questions I had - so they are there for you even after you walk out the door. My beautiful little girl, Kara Mia - has quickly settled into her new home. She is a Maltese Shih Tsu mix and I’m already completely in love

I cannot say enough good things! All of the employees at Silver Nickel Puppies are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and love love love all the puppies. Elli, the owner, went above and beyond to accommodate my busy schedule to make sure I was able to adopt the Maltipoo puppy I fell in love with. He came home happy and healthy with appropriate puppy vaccinations. I also know that my puppy was very well socialized there because he is so comfortable with both people and dogs of all shapes and sizes. (Not only is he comfortable, he LOVES playing everyone upon meeting them.) Highly recommend Silver Nickel Puppies for a quality adoption experience and puppy!
